Created from a partnership between the Ohio Dental Association and the Ohio Department of Health, Dental OPTIONS connects people to dentists who have agreed to provide free or reduced cost care. Dentists participating in this statewide program have donated more than $10 million in services since 1997 statewide.
While the focus of this program is on providing dental care to those in need, it is administered in such a way that you maintain:
Flexibility: You control the number and types of cases that you can accommodate in your practice.
Freedom: Your volunteer time and service are solely in practicing dentistry. Administrative tasks are performed by Dental OPTIONS referral coordinators, who serve as liaisons between your office and the patient between appointments.
Satisfaction: This program allows you to give back to the community under mutual terms, to patients that truly appreciate the services.
Although the Dental OPTIONS program has served thousands of people in its short history, the need for dentist participation remains high.
